Once tweaked (fluff & buff), the P3AT is a fine little gun.

LCP is plus/minus from the original. I wouldn't hesitate to carry either once proofed with a few hundred rounds of ammo (If you can find any .380 around!)

No slide lock on the P3AT does bother me a bit...

I have a P3AT and a friend of mine has an LCP.

Both have been very reliable, but the LCP feels slightly better in the hand, looks a lot better and has a much better trigger.

But lets be honest, neither is a fun gun to shoot, But either will make a great "belly gun" when things go pear shaped out on the town.

I carry an lcp as my backup. its lived in my pocket for about a year, only been cleaned after shooting it every 3 or 4 months, and has never given me an issue with its "digestion" of either hollows or ball ammo. I look at the ballistics between a .380 and a .38sp in standard pressures,(here come the flames!) and they seem very comparable. I like how the lcp gives me and extra(+1) round over my smith 442 and an extra mag thats almost the exact size a bic lighter! less recoil with standard pressure rounds, and speedy reloads. whats not to love? Oh, btw, i have 2 of em....

I handed out LCPs for Halloween this year. Makes me all warm inside knowing how safe those kids were that night.

After shooting my LCP for a while I seriously started thinking of selling it. Just too small for my hands. It was so loose that it would recoil back and the trigger guard would smack my trigger finger.
I made a leather sleeve for the grip. Although not exactly what I wanted as the leather is a bit slick it gave some extra diameter to the grip. Even then it was still too loose and would rotate back during recoil.
Well, practice makes perfect. I have learned how to grip and fire it for the best outcome. I am now very comfortable and accurate with it.
I guess I will keep it as a bug for now. Time will tell. At least I know I don't have to worry about ftf or fte problems and that I can shoot it straight.

Now to deal with the sights......
