    Default CBI failed background

I have a question for you guys here. I recently bought a Glock from Neves without any issue (3 weeks ago). I called today to check on the background on another new purchase and they said my application failed. He said it was due to incorrect information on it. The only problem is we went over the entire thing 3 times, and it's filled out correctly, and exactly the same as the last one. They resubmitted it and I have 6 days and 20 hours to wait, but what happens if it fails again? I can't see getting a hold of someone on the phone at CBI to be very easy? They said they've had this happen in the past, and second time around it went through. But WTF?

What was the incorrect information? It could be that Neeves typed something wrong when they entered your app into the system.

It helps to use your social security number, which is optional. I had a friend get denied last year because someone with the same name was prohibited. He had to fax in his drivers license and some other documentation, and the issue was resolved in a few months.

They didn't say, just that CBI said some information was incorrect. My SS# was on both applications. All info was correct.

I don't like using my sosh security # but I have a very common name and I'm sure some person with the same name somewhere would be denied. Probably input error somewhere.

Some people think by not including their SS# that it makes them more anonymous. Anybody in IT knows that all of the information at the governments's disposal is a simple query away.

Probably the cheap contractors that they have helping with the load. Maybe they outsourced it to India.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.

This ^^ worries me, especially if its not transparent as to what is causing the failure...
