Welcome. I couldn't agree more about the safety course in conjunction with registration, although I believe that a safety course at a younger age would be better, say 14-16 with the right supervision of course.

I could not agree more. Unfortunately it seems like kids are either educated about firearms or are completely clueless. It would be great to say by the age of 12 all kids have had a supervised, safe and fun learning experience, wouldn't it?! At least when they're registering for the draft, that's an obvious age that adult hood is being thrust on them. What better time to ensure that everyone has had a basic safety introduction and can at least say they have fired a weapon.
