One of the most unfortunate things about gun owners is each subgroup only seemingly worrying about their own little corner of the sport. A pheasant hunter who owns Purdey shotguns isn't the least bit bothered by AR's being banned - those rifles are of no use or interest to him. Similarly, benchrest competitors probably don't particularly care if 3-gun is done away with entirely. There's precious little unity across the shooting sports.
Sadly, I don't think any sector of the discipline is immune from the anti-gun folks. Sooner or later, they are after each and every type of firearm.
I thought this was supposed to have been introduced today, 1/22. Perhaps I am mistaken, but I've been scouring news websites today looking for any info on the reaction after it was introduced. Guess I'll have to wait 2 more days.

From what the repub congress has said, and the yellow belly dems, wont be no vote. Doubt they could muster enough support.

The Dems have Senate seats coming in the mid-terms in heavily contested states. They may not even pass it in the Senate. If it does, it's dead in the House.
