    Default Stock around Denver

Just stopped into Bass Pro at lunch today to waste a little time, thought I'd check the firearms section and I was shocked to see that they're down to their last 5 or 6 pistols. All old school revolvers and very expensive 1911's. Their case is empty, ammo shelf is empty, maybe half their rifle rack was empty as well. Just surprised to see so little stock. Haven't really been anywhere else recently, but a big company like Bass Pro you'd think to keep at least a little more stock on hand.

Wow. Thats crazy. I was at the Broomfield Walmart yesterday and there were a dozen people in the ammo isle. There is usually no one there. They had just stocked it and they bought EVERYTHING (well every usefull caliber) . Left nothing for me.

I haven't had any luck, locally, with finding ammo. I was hitting up WalMart about every other day and I still wasn't timing it right. I always have much better luck with ammo purchases online. I've purchased thousands upon thousands of 9mm and .40 online at great prices. Today, I FINALLY got a little bit of 5.56 (500 rounds). That is one of the reasons I hope they don't attack online sales. I always find much better deals online than I can locally. Plus, it is nice to have it delivered right to your front door.

I went by walmart before I went on my trip. There were 4 people looking at the ammo . All good stuff was gone

Those of us still under 30 days can't see the trading post or buyer intel. It's tough to wait, but I understand why the board has the waiting period.

When I was in Bass Pro last week (first time ever btw), they had less than 20 or so hand guns. The salesperson informed me that they typically average almost 1000 handguns in stock which I found staggering, and almost unbelievable, but that said, I was impressed with the store for the first time thru.

I met a couple guys for a parts deal at Sportsmans on 84th on Monday, and their shelves were depressing as well. The ammo and reloading stock was barren, all but for a dozen or so boxes of 10mm and .380. There were some various JHP defense rounds in other calibers too, but they're just way over priced. Their pistol wall was 90% empty too. Maybe 15 guns on it, tops. Nearly all they had on the long gun racks were bolt actions and shot guns too. Lots of stuff vanishing before our eyes.
