Default A Couple of New Pistols For The Collection

Got these recently and I'm excited to take them out to the range.

First is a RIA 1911 .45acp (NIB $380). This is my first 1911 style pistol. I've always wanted one, but didn't want to pay top $$$ for a plinker like I used to have in the Army. I thought this was a great deal on a warrantied 1911.

    Second is a Dan Wesson .357 ($200)
This one is about 96% - 98% and doesn't appear to have been shot very much. This is my first revolver and at that price I wasn't gonna pass it up. The wifey likes this one too as she's more a revolver girl.

So I have my ammo ready to go for my next trip to the range

nice, you'll have to give us a report on the 1911.. I've heard that RIA quality is hit or miss.

Thanks for the comments guys, I hope to take it to the range this weekend (Dragon Man's). I don't think I'll ever even holster it, just keep it in it's padded case to keep the finish looking nice. Now it's time to stock-up on some ammo.

waiting to hear how the RIA shoots. I am in the same situation you were. can't see paying a ton of money for a 1911 (not yet at least), and these looked like good starter pistols.

let us know how she does.

Took both pistols out to the range this weekend.
Shot WWB and American Eagle (?) in the RIA with no probs (only 100 rounds though). I used the stock mag and some I got at Galati Int & from a friend. So far, I'm very happy with it. Point of aim was dead on. Got some new grips too, I'll have to throw a new pic up.

    The .357 did well also.

I'll have to post again after I get several hundred rounds down the pipe, but I have to get the several hundred rounds first
