    Default Good gunsmith

Can anyone give a good reference for a smith. I have a Rem 700 7mm Mag and I bought a take off 700 7 Mag barrel off gun broker. Now need it installed for me. Also would like to have the stock bedded. Have no idea who to take it to.
    Thanks for your help

Some people I know have been satisfied with the work done here. Gunny Bob Newman on KOA pimps their services out on the radio. I have had work done on my shotguns there and was satisfied,

I have heard good things about these guys, but have no personal expierance with them. They are in Aurora.

Keep in mind that take-off barrel might not just screw on and headspace up fine. It could turn into a $100-200 project.

My M14 experience with TJ's was less than stellar. They took a horrible gun from West Texas Armory and managed to upgrade it to a very poor gun. But still..

Maybe I'm beating a dead horse, but I personally would not, repeat not, chose Gunsmoke.

If Milt Morris was still working around here I'd recommend him, but I think he packed up and got out of Denver.
A plan is just a list of things that don't happen.

I kinda like TJ's...he quoted me $20 over the phone to get off a stuck receiver extension and when I brought it in he took it back and wrenched it off and only charged me $10...plus he has that cool clock ringed with 5.56 rounds

anyone hear of any other good gunsmiths? Other than prairie arms and tj's. Prarie arms website lists olympic arms as the best of the AR 15's. If they think Olympic arms is the best ar you can buy I am a little suspect of them.

I will second this. I have had Dr. Mikes men do many things for me with much satisfaction.
