    Default m1 carbine value

i'm looking for a rough value on a universal m1 carbine. 102,XXX sn range.

Bluing is pretty good, upper handguard has been painted and needs refinished. Stock is in good shape, couple of mags. Adjustable peep sight, no markings on the barrel. Bore is good, as is the condition of the wood. The handguard and stock match, but do not match the gun.

    thanks.

it's not a "genuine" US military rifle, although it may use parts from such.

I'd go with USGI and have a real piece of history, unless you're a collector (which doesn't sound like you are) which this would make an interesting foot note in a collection.
