My dad picked up a SMLE for $19 over 50 years ago. He's mentioned passing it on to me and I may have it in about 5 months. The last time I gave it a cleaning the bore looked amazingly bright and in good condition. I'm interested in using it, but I want to make sure it's safe.

Do you guys know who would be a good resource to give it a going over to make sure there aren't any problems with it?
