Slightly missing the point. My point was good customer service gets more business. They can be as hostile as they want. It's their business! All I'm saying is, if gun stores were ran like other businesses, it would open the gun market to a lot more people. More business, more money, more people protecting themselves and loved ones. Also, it would raise public opinion about guns. If I had the funds I would open a gun store and advertise "We are actually friendly".
What you just said makes us look like a bunch of a-holes.
To ask may be but a moment's shame, not to ask and remain ignorant is a lifelong shame.

I decide what I want, I then order it on line and have it transferred to my FFL buddy, not only because its cheaper but because when I am dropping $$$ I dont need some gun store shit heads attitude. Not all gun store guys are bad, but enough of them I dont want to chance it. I have never met sneakerd so I dont know how he is at work, but I have heard guys working in gun shops complain about their job in front of customers and give them attitudes. I have also had guys tell me my selection was a POS and try to sell me other stuff.
+1 to Bluecore... most gunshops in the metro area are shitty compare to BC. Some are down right rude and condescending. I typically get a better customer service from a pawnshop when looking at firearms. My experience is from pre panic as I'd hate to have to go into any store at the moment.
Basspro also has a great approach when it comes to customer service in their gun department. Too bad they are too understaffed.
The good ol' "I disagree with you so you must be gay" homophobic insult. Classic.
You're right, how dare I believe in...good customer service. I am a POS because I believe that someone whose job is to provide a service should be friendly, as well as call out those who are not doing their job correctly. Yep, you pegged me. Believes in good customer service = pole smoking fairy.
Your insinuation that being a veteran makes you automatically superior would be offensive to some good friends of mine in the service. There's that word again...SERVICE.
[MOD EDIT: Comments such as the one I'm editing only serve to elevate the conflict here and eventually result in someone getting a time-out or perma-ban. Folks, lets remember what brought us all to this site, a common interest. From that common ground we can build this community, not tear it down.]

Not with me you're not, you guys always treat me well. I remember in my visit last month we had to stop our conversation a couple of times so you could address newly entered customers and ask if they needed any help. That's good customer service right there.
[font=sarcasm] BTW, I don't see any on your shelves, but I'm looking for a [Insert one or more: "high cap clip" / "assault rifle" / "tactical" something or other / BCG / .223 ammo / PMAG], do you have any in the back? [/sarcasm]

Regardless of who this was directed at or why, that was the funniest shit I've read all day. Thanks, HBAR, I needed a chuckle.
FWIW, I've always gotten good customer service at the Firing Line. I've never bought a gun there because their prices are on the high side, but I can't complain about the staff. They've always been friendly to me. I wish I could use the range there, but every 5 minutes some ass clown walks in with a broom and steals my brass!
