    There seems to be an awful lot of school "incidents" going on lately.

    high tension leads to overreaction.
    for all we know it was someone seeing a rifle in the back seat of a car driving in the general direction of the school.

    I agree in some aspect of that but my concern is there is so much fear out there now, that every time a gun is seen, it'll be "CALL THE COPS!". I'm sure that is exactly what the administration is wanting though. Until all the details (how close were they spotted to the school, what "weapons" were seen, etc), I won't comment more about it. I would like to see citizens being more aware of things going on around them so it's good in that sense. I just hope it doesn't snowball into panic/overreaction 24/7.

    Gun free Zone is a shooting gallery waiting to happen.
    HOWEVER Those who oppose firearm use for safety will tell you a school is better off with out ARMED SECURITY. Perhaps we need to rethink the seat belt laws.
