Since there is a police record of the dogs barking it is very possible the owners were talked to by concerned neighbors regarding the barking dog issue before authorities were involved. I myself have heard of this occurring in my lifetime. Definitely not in a urban environment though. Think what you want of me, I don't care one bit. But I guarantee the people that didn't do this crime that live in the neighborhood are all glad they don't have to endure the noise. Not that they would admit it. I love my dog and the dogs I've had before her. But the phrase "Dogs are people too" just pisses me off. As much as we love and care for our dogs they're still just animals, not humans.
