There is a procedure in the Constitution to amend it. In all the mass anti-gun hysteria I have not heard or seen anyone propose an amendment to the Constitution. If you want to change the Constitution then change it, don't violate it or try to sneak around it.

"automatic assault weapons" CAN NOT '"be easily purchased by anyone and everyone". They are expensive, need approval by a local Law Enforcement Official, and require a background check to be conducted. The procedure to get approval to purchase one is also currently taking about six months to process.


People like to think that guns are good for protection but why do you need to kill someone to protect yourself?
You don't. Showing a gun is all that is needed in the vast majority of time a gun is used in a defensive situation. That is one reason I want the nastiest, meanest looking gun I can to defend myself. I want a gun that a bad guy will sh*t himself and take off running away from me before I need to even think of pulling the trigger.

Why not just use a tranquilizer gun or something not deadly?
If not tailored to the individual bad guy tranquilizers are slow and can be just as lethal as a gun. That applies to all less than lethal weapons. If I need to stop someone I need it to be immediately effective. He gave up his rights to when he took my rights by attacking me.

Tranquilizers are deadly. A "minor" miscalculation in dosage with all of the fast-acting tranquilizers can mean brain or nervous system damage or death. This is why anesthesiologists make the big bucks and get sued a lot. There is no "not lethal" solution to stopping an attack, unless your in an action movie. Tasers can and have caused death. Stun Guns can and have caused death. Beanbags from shotguns have killed people, and so have rubber bullets. "Less than lethal" doe not mean death never results, just that it is less likely.

For whatever reason, we as a society seem to think that all people deserve to live and have some issue with death. Some dont. Like it or not, some people do not deserve to walk the Earth. We are all going to die. I prefer that my death not come at the hands of some asshat who tries to do harm to my family or to myself. The police are not there for my personal protection, nor are they responsible for it. I am. Try and take away that ability, and that right to ensure my personal safety and I consider it enemy action and will respond and proceed accordingly. Do not be that enemy.
