Abortion:
Why is murder wrong? What is it that is lost in a murder? The answer is a future. You take away the love, the family the hope and the gift of life when you murder someone. Life has no purpose without a future of value. Does that little lump of cells have a future? Yes, left alone it will grow into a living breathing loving person that will have a future like yours. Where do you draw the line between lump of cells and human? Does it rest with their abilities, their human like characteristics? An infant can not talk, walk, feed itself, defend itself or perform any basic function that we use to call ourselves humans. Do you consider an infant a lump of cells? But who's choice should it be? When the mother to be chose to procreate she understood that there is a possibly of becoming pregnant. That is where a woman's right to choose lies.
Constitution:
If you have actually read the constitution or bill of rights you would gain a little respect for our founding fathers. It is phenomenal the foresight they had when composing the doctrine that even now governs our country. It is 226 years old this year. But how is this possible? How could a bunch of musket toting revolutionaries look into the future and create a document that is still relevant to today's society in most respect's? The answer is the thousands of years of history that they chose their words from. You think that the history of the world is so irrelevant to our current pretty little lives? Have there not been multiple tyrannical governments overthrown in other areas of the world in just the last five years? Do you think that our current leadership or leaders from the last decade are above declaring themselves ruler for the rest of their lives? There is only one thing stopping them, and that is the constitution and more importantly the second amendment. Do you wake up in the morning and realize how fortunate you are to be born in America as opposed to some place like Swaziland? How did our great nation rise to where it is at now from a country of peasants and people seeking freedom from religious persecution? Maybe you should rethink your position for a second because the very items that you say are outdated and irrelevant are what I see as the only thing that sets this nation apart from other failing and falling countries in the world.
