Manual Defrost Freezer...

Am I the only one dumb enough to still own one? Am I the only one who hasn't defrosted their non-frost-free freezer this century?

Holy crap. I found some mastodon steaks in there from a long ago hunting trip.

No telling how long he's been in there.

I wish the damn freezer would just die. But it works quite well and I can't see spending money on a new just because I'm too lazy to defrost it at least once every 20 years or so. What a PITA.

I suppose that now that I've endured the brain damage to defrost it it'll quit working. I know...if it ain't broke, don't fix (or defrost) it.

Nope, I still have one too. Got it off craiglist for $50 seven years ago and it still runs great.

I defrosted the small fridge/freezer at work because a) there was no more space in planet hoth and b) everybody else was too fin lazy to give a taun-taun.

I have a chest freezer in the garage that I haven't defrosted since I bought it about a dozen years ago. Thank goodness this is such a dry climate.

My wife and my sister defrosted my dad's 50's vintage freezer a couple of years back. It refused to restart afterward, after 60+ years of faithful service.

Oh...that's just freakin' great. I know that's what's gonna happen here.

I knew I shouldn't have done it but two shelves had frozen together and encrusted everything between them in a layer of permafrost.

I was actually kinda curious what was in there.

The EPA is gonna take the chunks of ice from this thing up to the arctic for the polar bears so they don't drown.

Both my deep freezers are manual defrost. My thermometer probe is under 2 inches of ice. Word is auto defrost freezers suck. I'll defrost if I ever move. Sounds like I have 11 years or so before I need to worry about it.
