The Constitution does not grant anything. It talks about the rights that people are born with. Were you bestowed those rights after the publication of the Constitution, or were those rights used to write the Constitution?
If they threw the Constitution out tomorrow, I'd still know what my rights are, and live my life accordingly. Would you guys do anything differently?

Sounds like USSR dissolution in 1991. I experience this once before, it was no fun. I remember same BS on TV before it happened. Hope this will never happen to this country.
You're comparing your God given rights as you understand them to those that your government affords you. Interesting take and it makes for interesting discussion.
And you would probably live a week before a government that isn't bound by law comes to eradicate you and the life you want to live the moment your beliefs and its interests conflict.

Absolutely. And again, the point you are making is incredibly valid.
Common knowledge and understanding is the only thing that binds us. Run a campaign of public education long enough and it becomes something that binds all of us behaviorally. Those Mr. Yuck stickers for example. When was the last time you saw one of those? Regardless of their current presence in our lives, we all know what that sticker means when we pick up a bottle of fluid that looks like Kool-Aid and that sticker is present.
Our constitution is a 200+ year old public education campaign that binds us together against the poison of tyranny. We can remove the poison sticker from our government, but a lot of intellectually young are going to die when they take a drink. I'd rather them, being potential allies, know what that sticker means before they have to take a drink and die because of trial by fire.

The Constitution puts limits on government. The government has thrown out the Constitution long ago.

I wish technology solved people issues. It seems to just reveal them.
