The reason that these assholes spew this stuff is that they know from experience that the very people who will get pissed off about it are too cowardly to lift a finger. They talk indignantly about it and that is it. Imagine if George Washington had told his guys lets go talk to the poms about this? We already know how well talking worked for Chamberlain.
But here is the problem as to why nobody will lift a finger. Because history shows us that if a brave soul does take a stand, before the lib enemy can say "BOO!" about his actions, the cowards on his side of the aisle will beat them to the punch decrying his actions, selling him out and lamenting how he is bringing negative attention. You only have to watch the comments from all the usual suspects around here every time some guy decides to open carry in public.
It is the same mentality that hamstrings our fighting men in the middle of a war zone. The rules of engagement are dictated by people who are more worried about what the enemy's perception of them is than preserving the lives of their own men or even winning the conflict.

For those who read a lot here but refrain from comment, just sit back and watch the response this comment will receive if you doubt.
Quite true! I was always told that if a bully lays his hands on me he's fair game and I had every right to defend myself... I'll teach my kids the same lesson- Never throw the first punch, but as long as you don't start the fight, you better make sure you're the one to throw the last punch. Like you say, the only way to stop a bully is to show him that you're not the one to mess with. And I agree that it is folks from our side who are the first to demonize the one who stands up, and that's just not right. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't "right" in popular opinion. Look at popular opinion right now! Calling the media out on their bias is greatly ignored. Saying Obama and his administration are nothing but liars, and criminals is looked at as either "extreme rightist" or racist. It's a little to late to play nice, and I think hacks like the d-bag that says let's just give up on the Constitution need to be called out, put in the middle of the town square, and tarred and feathered publicly (figuratively speaking).
