    Default "The Daily Commute"

So I was getting lunch with a former co worker today and I was driving. My car doesn't have much interior space... It's basically a 2 seater with a "bench" in the back if anyone over 5 foot is in the front seats. Had to open the trunk and I keep a gun bag... This lead into a discussion of "what's in the bag" which lead into a conversation about my duct tape glove box car holster (I just patented the term car holster) she's pretty tall so it led into me saying "open your legs"... Which is a totally different conversation but I'm 99% sure she wants to bang me now. But basically I pretty much have a pistol, shotgun, and a rifle capable of 900+ yards at all times because well. Shit. I'd rather have it then need it (Insert Condom Reference Here). I can't be the only one? Has anyone else built vehicle specific gun storage devices or am I just a crazy?

Yep I agree with with Ray, your loco
But a Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.

Guns and girls. One you are endlessly dumping wasted money into and the other is guns.

    What he said.

However, I have found out that my MidwayUSA "tactical" 36" rifle bag fits PERFECTLY in the "trunk" of my mini cooper. When the back seats are folded down, which is how they are 95% of the time so I can throw my bike back there, the rifle case is perfectly flush with the backs of the seats. I've thought about keeping it back there all the time, but I'd need to get a factory looking floor mat to cover it up. I'd be more worried about someone stealing the rifle than needing to use it to get home, so I don't keep it in the car.

It's called a garage and a gun... Sigh. Voodoo tactical 42 inch case. Holds two rifles, two pistols, six 30 round rifle mags, eight pistol mags and misc shit.

Huh? Are you saying that I should always park my car in the garage and use a gun to protect my car when its not in the garage?

So, when I drive to a college campus for class three days a week and let my car sit in the parking lot that has no security cameras from 7:30am until 6:15pm, what do I do then? Leave the rifle in the car? No thanks. I always park my car in the garage for many reasons other than it getting broken into.

And a 42" case wouldn't fit, the 36" case is the perfect width/length/depth. If I put it in there, I flip it over so the 6 mag pouches point down.

I drive a 135i and the trunks have similar interior dimensions... Figured it would fit. and yeah... College campus. NVM.

Ah, okay. Yea, I love the mini for its 45mpg, especially having to drive 75mi to campus when I'm not working (have a career, taking two classes per semester with my benefit of 6 free credits per semester, for another degree).

Dude if it gets you laid its totally worth it.
What is my joy if all hands, even the unclean, can reach into it? What is my wisdom, if even the fools can dictate to me? What is my freedom, if all creatures, even the botched and impotent, are my masters? What is my life, if I am but to bow, to agree and to obey?
-- Ayn Rand, Anthem (Chapter 11)
