Ya...being that I'm old I do have difficulties running on hard surfaces (concrete and asphalt) so I pretty much do all my running/jogging on trails. If anyone here hikes Castlewood Canyon then they've most likely seen me run by with my backpack and the hose from my hydration system bouncing off my forehead....or running down the north side trying my best to go as fast as possible and still not roll an ankle (again).
My wife has mentioned her concern when I get in my 10k walks (try to get one in at least every night). I always have AT LEAST a knife (I pack a folder along with my multi-tool in my checked luggage when traveling) on me and have no issues with self defense....My only comment to her when she speaks up with her concerns is "I'm insured and at least I'll go out fighting."
