Default Police officer shot in Denver

No real info yet but they are saying an officer was shot near 5 points and is in critical condition.

Sounds like the officer was shot in the hand. Officers partner returned fire killing the female suspect.

News is saying the officer is in critical condition with NON life threatening injuries. Thank God.

Yeah. 6 blocks from my office. Gotta love this neighborhood.

From what I can gather there was a shootout with a cop involved. The cop got hit, and is listed in critical condition with non-life-threatening injuries. No details about the other guy, but when one shoots at a cop there are few expected outcomes for that individual and all are bad.

Only extremity that could be life threatening is the leg. Specifically the thigh region.

Not true... bullet to the arm can cause a life threatening wound requiring immediate trauma care... Not sure about the hand, but if circumstances were bad enough it could be critical in terms of loss of limb- which is probably why the officer's condition is critical. Loss of life, limb, eyesight are all circumstances of critical condition.
    Prayers for the officer!

Hope it doesn't mess up his career. Would suck to be subject to desk duty forever because of some ghetto trash. Proof that even with the last 10 years of gentrification in that CurtisPark/FivePoints area, it STILL can be dangerous.
