    Default Which turret press?

    here's the deal;

I want to start loading 3 calibers. I want changes to be as easy as possible, so I want a turret or to drop coin on blue koolaid. But I'm cheap, so I'm back to a turret.

For some reason, I like RCBS stuff, but their turret looks like weak. What other turrets should I be looking at. Or should I just take a swig of blue?

I really don't have a huge hurry. Nor do I shoot as much as I like to think I do (or want to).

    Wait time isn't an issue.

Nothing wrong with the Lee Classic Cast Turret (LCT). I'd buy the LCT from here: https://kempfgunshop.com//index.php?...hk=1&Itemid=41

I know a lot of folks really like the Redding.

This Redding for $30 more than the Lee is a no brainer. Holds 7 dies instead of 4. Built way tougher. Better hurry this is a great price! http://www.midwayusa.com/product/588...7-turret-press

The BEST turret press out there, bar none, is the Redding T7. This is well known and undisputed on any reloading friendly forum. The turret has 7 stations which could do 3 calibers plus one extra hole for a puller or a precision seater, etc. You can also buy additional turrets and switch them in a minute or two.

That's a good price on the Redding!

To be clear, the Kempf LCT Kit comes with a lot of extras that you won't get with the Redding @ Midway. Not a negative, just making it clear it isn't an apples-to-apples comparison based on $$$ alone.

One big advantage of the Redding is that the turret itself is much more sturdy and stable than the Lee. The bases are both very solid, as the LCT is cast (not aluminum).

Here's what's offered in the Kempf kit:

    • Pistol Caliber Kits Include:
    • Lee Classic Turret Press
    • Lee Deluxe 4-Die Set for the pistol caliber of your choice. (3 Die set in 380, 44/40 and 357 Sig)
    • Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure
    • Lee Safety Prime System (Large AND Small)
    • Lee Auto Disk Riser (Required for the Safety Prime System)
    • Six MTM 50 round Plastic Ammo Boxes
    • Rifle Caliber Kits include:
    • Lee Classic Turret Press
    • Lee PaceSetter Dies (3 Die set)
    • Lee Auto Disk Powder Measure
    • Lee Saftety Prime System (Large AND Small)
    • Lee Auto Disk Riser
    • Powder-Thru Rifle Charging Die
    • Case Lube
    • Double Disk Kit
    • Rifle kits do not include boxes

Note: 30/06, 300 Win. Mag., and 204 Ruger Kit comes with Perfect Powder Measure instead of the Autodisk measure.

If you don't see your caliber listed, we can make a Custom Kit for you. Just call or email.

As info if you want to take a look at them before you buy, Sportsmen's normally carries the Redding T7 and has a decent price on them. I know the Thornton store had 3 of them on Friday when I was in there, as I happened to look at one while I was there. I know you're down south, but possibly the Springs store would have one to look at as well.

If I were in the market for a turret press it'd be the Redding.
