Mine applied for her CHP, and already has her Colt New Agent. Sort of wierd having the little woman wandering around the house doing clear and draw drills....

She never leaves home without it. No need to discourage the girls from purse carrying. They can safely and securely purse carry... they just have to get the right purse. Every purse my wife purchases now (and she is really into her purses) she evaluates everything from dedicated compartments for her XD9sc, straps that will allow for cross-body carry, heavy duty straps and hardware, avoiding unnecessary dangly hardware that jingles (draws unwanted attention), etc...

She also holster carries on occasion, but mostly purse carries. It is convenient, secure (with the cross-body), and allows her to have her hand on the grip and ready to draw when walking to the car without giving away that she is carrying. Going on three years now and I can't think of a single time when I've asked "are you packing" where her response wasn't "What do you think? Always!"

    Depends on who you ask.
If you ask her, she'll tell you "Almlst every time we leave the house, it feels weird not having it on."
In reality, about 60% of the time. Just depends if the gun belt matches her outfit honestly.... that's why I carry all the time lol. She says she always carries when I'm not around, which I hope is true.

Hard work pays off. My Wife didnt want anything to do with CCW and now (2 years Later) she is getting it and I will be getting her a new gun.
I will say it was a little easy to help her understand the concept off CCW when being with like minded friends ( two friends of mine have a sister and a wife that carry) to kinda give their input, just an idea.

I am having her attend a few professional firearms classes so she is sure of gun safety and proper handling as well.

My wife carries a Glock 34 IWB daily. We got our CHPs last summer and at first she would just carry off and on. She started with an M&P 9 but did not find it comfortable but likes the Glock. A little pushing from me had her carrying more often, now she feels naked without it.

No wife- but the gal I've been dating for about 2 weeks now has a little Beretta .380 that I'd like to get her really good at, then have her take my CCW class later this month and get her into carrying... I do believe I've found a great girl!
