If you have not read his book, you should. I feel lucky to say that I had the pleasure of meeting him.
Its just terrible that someone he was trying to help did this. We lost a great one today.

    Apparently a suspect was apprehended..

    http://www.khou.com/news/texas-news/...189539281.html

A warning was issued for the suspect, who was believed to be driving a black Ford F-350 truck with large tires and rims. The suspect was reportedly later captured in Lancaster, south of Dallas. The individual was believed to be highly trained with military experience, according to the Erath County Sheriff's Office.
EDIT: The sofrep link listed above apparently had more info..

This is just really sad, I've seen some of his appearances and he seemed like a great guy and one hell of an American Warrior.

    From the link above

Chris had been volunteering his time to help Marine Corps veterans suffering from PTSD and mentoring them. Part of this process involved taking these veterans to the range where one of them snapped and killed Chris and his neighbor for reasons that remain unknown at this time. The perpetrator then stole Chris’ vehicle in an attempt to escape but we have received word that the police have since arrested him.

Most people do not know that every single cent he received from his book sales he has donated to the families of the fellow soldiers lost in his book.
He was true a american hero in just the way he lived his life. He would alway say that he was not a hero, the ones around him were the heroes.

WTF. I hope they string up the person who shot him. PTSD or not.
