I haven't done it myself and have no idea of their backlog right now...

I love Rocky Mountain Recycling, but I'm biased, they're my client Since I reload, my contact and I are always talking about it... right now they're buying brass for just over $2 a pound. And yes, they will take cases.

I replied to your PM - this isn't usable brass cases, this is all scrap. Berdan primed, or split, mangled, smashed, or otherwise unusable cases. Plus a couple of liters of used primers and a couple of old brass faucets. I'm FAR too frugal to sell good, usable brass cases for scrap. I just couldn't fathom that.

I have been picking up every piece of brass that I find at the range for a while now. I reload and shoot only a few choice calibers and the rest really is no use to me. There is some good stuff in there I found from last hunting season, not a lot of each type maybe 10 or 20 depending on the caliber, but I dont feel like breaking it all down and selling it individually. I guess it will be easier to state what is not in there. 9mm. 45 ACP .223 .308 357 mag. Other than that there are some 30-06 220 swift, 270 WSM and a lot more. If someone was willing to give me $2 a pound for it I would sell it to them and they could sort it out or take what they wanted and scrap the rest. Really if you just give me a 12 pack of beer I would be happy, but it has to be something decent, like Sam Adams Creme Stout, or Sierra Nevada.

There is also quite a bit of scrap in there as you can see in the pictures, but it is all cases, not primers or anything like that.

Top Brass in Salida (formerly Scharch) will give you $2.00 a pound credit on scrap brass but they have a huge back log on new orders like everyone else right now.

Funny, I took a couple of truckloads of huge copper cable in there once to sell, and it got the attention of the owner so he came out to BS with me, probably to get a feel for me to make sure I didn't steal it. Anyway, the subject of security regarding such a large sale came up, and I informed him of the .45 on my hip under my shirt tail. He seemed impressed, and mentioned that he'd been thinking of getting a .25 or .32 for a pocket pal. I advised him to consider something a little more "real" that wouldn't just piss somebody off.

But yeah, that whole neighborhood is sketchy city. But Denver Bullets is right around the corner!
