What's a clip or magazine?

When someone refers to a "magazine" and wants to make themselves sound cool, they call it a "clip". I don't have a problem with them calling it a "clip", but by doing so they must shoot the firearm with a 90 degree cant, gangsta style. It's the law.

Garands are easy. The magazine is in the rifle. The en bloc clip allows rapid loading of the magazine.

A "clip" for a 1911 would be something that you would use to load the "magazine" for a 1911.
