I was there for the whole thing. I got there at 07:40 and was greeted by one of Mauser's minions who handed me some propaganda. I asked for another couple for friends that hadn't shown up yet. Then I walked over to the trash can and threw them away.

The pro-2A folks showed up in good numbers. We had a 5 to 1 advantage.

Apparently Commissioner Tighe is totally on-board with the Hickenlooper ruse that we "need to have a conversation" about violation of people's constitutional rights. Tighe apparently wasn't happy with the 9A resolution because it proposed that no laws be considered that would infringe on the second amendment rights of gun owners and that no laws be considered that would criminalize lawfully owned firearms. So he crafted his own watered down version that sung the praises of 2A but left the door wide open to eviscerate it in a "discussion" at the national and state level. Apparently, this is the new focus group tested mantra of the gun grabbers to package their incrementalism.

The new talking points mantra is to pay lip service to the 2A and voice support for the Heller and McDonald Supreme Court decisions. Then immediately segue to your point that magazine and gun bans are perfectly "reasonable" under these decisions. So are limits on the number of guns and the amount of ammunition you can own. Basically, they can ban anything they want as long as they leave us a couple of cap guns to play with and somehow that's not infringement. I remind you that Obama has also said he agrees with these landmark SCOTUS decisions yet he appointed gun hating justices like Sotomayor and Kagen. Since their appointments, they have gone on record wanting to reverse these key civil rights decisions.
