Default The Sunlight Foundation Ranks 26 Key Senators On Likelihood They Will Support Gun Control

    http://sunlightfoundation.com/blog/2...ontrol-senate/

They show both Udall and Bennet as likely to support further gun control. I know that's not a tremendous surprise or anything, but it does show that we really need to keep the political pressure up on these two.

If there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to buy a gun, there's nothing wrong with having to show an ID to vote.

For legal reasons, that's a joke.

At the very least we should be able to remove Udick with the next election. Only about a year until campaigning begins, all we need to do is put up a descent pro gun candidate. In 1994 the weapons ban caused the Dems to loose seats in the US house and senate. It looks like there are more pro gun people right now than in 1994. A lot of people that voted for Obama that kept saying we're just being paranoid about gun control he's not going to do anything. Those same people are now saying live and learn won't be fooled again. This time when the Dems drag out that same old happy horse shit playbook about Republican's only want to stop abortion, make women buy there own birth control, starve children, take healthcare away from the elderly and all the other shit that doesn't happen maybe the "stupid voter" will finally see through it.

ranting about treason and the like wont do anything to get rid of them.

How do we make sure the R part wont put a right wing religious zealot on the ballot to lose?

Show up to the caucuses - not the primary, but the caucuses - with someone better.

Because the last time I went to the Republican caucus, Luap Nor was the best of a sorry lot. And the room was full of people who would not shut the fuck up about abortion (which cost us the election IMHO) and the pledge of allegiance (which was written by progressives to redirect people's loyalty to the "national" government and away from either states or Constitution.). Having some other sensible people there would have made it a lot more pleasant for me.

I agree, that is the hard part, seems like anyone qualified and has there head on straight doesn't want the hassel associated with running for office

Write to both of them. Remind them that the gun control activist organizations have a long record of failure in getting out the vote. And that the NRA has a long record of success.
