    Daniel187, your posts are not exactly easy to follow, but let me see if I have this straight:

    1. You were an employee of Crocs.
    2. You have a CCW and carried at work.
    3. The employee handbook says NOTHING prohibiting firearms.
    4. You were called into HR and terminated on the spot for carrying at work, without any warning or prior explanation that this was not allowed.

    Time for a lawyer,,, if it ain't in the handbook and employer didn't discuss your options..



    Crocs suck anyway. and thank gawd I'm self employed...
    course that ain't kept me from firing myself at least once a month...

    Yep she said I made an unsafe work place and now i am going to seek legal help. thanks guys

    Sorry it happened, unfortunately Colorado is an "at will" state which basically means an employer can terminate and employee at any time for just about any reason.

    My employer recently made a policy banning all weapons. I wrote a letter complaining to the head of HR. The VP in charge of my office (I work in a satellite office) called me and said don't push the issue and for me personally it is "don't ask, don't tell" and I should keep carrying. I asked him if he would have my back if someone complained and he didn't answer. So for now I am disarmed at work.
