But if you order now you get double the order. Just pay separate shipping and handling

I think you'd sink to the bottom of the lake. The water would recede like the red sea.

Whoever ordered the stuff, please respond to this thread once you've had the chance to use it a little bit. I'm sure there are others among us, aside from me, who are quite interested.

Specifically, I'm curious about how long it lasts... does it come right off of non-porous surfaces (metal?) as soon as there's any wind, water pressure, soap, etc?

Very cool. You guys who try, please let us know. I wonder if it is breathable like Gore-Tex.

I had the rare opportunity to get a case of this stuff and experiment with it a few months ago. It is amazing, and easy to apply. The durability isn't great, which pretty much rules out most great uses you could think of. As an example, if you coat a piece of metal, put it under the faucet for a little while, it works as advertised. After about 30 minutes, it has worn off the spot that water is being run on.

It also isn't clear, so you couldn't really put it on a windshield or something.

I sprayed a piece of wood and still have it, and that seems to be holding up fine, probably because it's so porous and the product can really grab on. I don't know how it stands up to sun, but you could spray your house or your roof with it and that would probably be good.

All in all, I think this stuff will have all sorts of uses for things that occasionally get wet, but in my experimentation it will not stand up to running water.

Damn, did seem miraculous. Too bad it doesn't last. But it's only time before they improve this! Shit, I can't believe how long it took to get that informercial black spray-on rubber stuff you see every night now. GOD BLESS CHEMSTRY NERDS! I'm gonna order some and use it on shoes, and outdoor clothes & gear.

As odd as it may sound, that'd actually slow a boat down. Before major regatta's boat hulls are actually soaped so the water won't sheet off the bottom as easily. Water/water contact is best for hull speed.
