5k rounds doesn't justify a progressive press ? In 2-3 years you'll rethink that, you owe it to yourself to upgrade. Think of it as an early retirement gift, very early gift

It is the frequency of my reloading that can not justify it financially. Would it be great sure, but I could just as easily reload with a little more frequency on my single stage and not have a mountain of brass to go through.

That and in order of precidence competiting for my "fun cash" the progressive is a distant third behind a KOWA TSN-883 and a PVS-14.... I will get there some day. Maybe when I can justify it medically due to carpal tunnel.

5000 rounds on a good progressive is an easy days work with an hour lunch! Go for it and don't look back.

The time it took you to get this far would have got you loaded ammo with a Dillon 550. A 1050 would have cranked out about 2-3 times that much ammo. Less time at the bench means more time at the range.

See one of you guys with a Dillon is supposed to say come on down, we will crank them out and I will show you how its done and talk you into one and make it a social hour or two.... I am not loosing any time at the range since I am going in spurts after work. If nothing else it is keeping me away from the television in the evening.

I will have 5000 loadable cases shortly perhaps I will talk one of you into some Dillion education when I decide on powder and bullet.

Loaded 250 45 HBRN Berrys on the 550. Stared at the spot where the 1050 use to be. About to swap the 550 over to 9mm and load a couple thou of assorted loads to rid myself of so many partially full boxes.
