College kid's understanding of why Pacific War

My head exploded when I read what the OP said. I was telling people at school how the Japanese used to eat each other and war prisoners and they were blown away. Not many younger people realize how truly evil the Japanese military was.

If I could take my guns with me, I would be perfectly content living there the rest of my life.

I LOVE Japan. Going there was one of the greatest experiences of my life and I would live there in a heartbeat.

Another tweak on history I witnessed in my travels. At Invalides in Paris (Napoleon's tomb) they have a WWII display. After seeing it you would think the French Resistance won the entire war all by themselves.
