    Default 300 BLK group buys

So in talking with Patrick today, shooting the shit, I brought up the possibility of doing one of his group buys for maybe 300 BLK. He said it was possible but wanted some specs so he could find out the "possibilities."

Personally I think a lighter grain supersonic such as 110 grain Close tip? I am thinking special loads like V-max or Ballistic tip would be hard. I am not interested in a subsonic yet until I get a suppressor. Although for those that do chime in as well.

Everyone interested in a potential group guy for 300 BLK lets get a consensus, the more people who are interested, the more likely we good possibly get one put together. I put up a poll with 3 variable loads.

I would be interested in the 110gr supersonics. 110 or 115gr are perfect for plinking/practice/general range rounds. Besides, the new Nikon p-300 scope is designed for 115gr rounds on the supersonic side and I plan to own one of those soon.

I might be interested depending on the price. I would be leaning toward the cheapest option possible as plinking ammo. I reload the accurate stuff.

Yes what I was thinking of, a cheaper alternative to SHTF / Plinking stuff. Something along the lines of the 115 UMC stuff that you can not find anywhere. I have a bunch of 147 grain stuff but a little heavy for general use.

    Avoid the subs.

What runs 1050 fps in my SBR might be supersonic in a 16 inch gun or it might not cycle it or...

Stick a Sierra 125 MK or a Speer 125 TNT on top of a spoonful of powder and go.

They will run is most everybodys rifle.

Another vote for 110 to 125 grain cheap plinking stuff. I'd definitely split 1K with somebody else if this gets posted and might go in for 1K if I have the $$.

So far the concensus is showing people want "SHTF/Plinking" stuff, simple 110-115 grain supersonic.

As a reference I had bought some of that cheap UMC 115 CTBT/FMJ and had no issues with what I ran of it. Anyone got some load data for that 115 grain stuff? I can shoot to patrick and he could check to see the possibilities. This whole thing might be us barking up the wrong tree if Patrick cant get it anywho.
