CBI Background Checks Clearing RAPIDLY
I don't know what's going on, but we've had a ton of background checks clear.
As of 1pm ish, the number is down to 7200 in line and the longest wait is just under 6 days now. Yesterday it was 7 plus days and around 9000 in line. There's been a drop of about 600 checks in the last hour or so alone.
Think it has something to do with getting the process sped up for Universal checks?
Definitely curious.
Maybe some folks came back from vacation?

Not so soon after. I imagine more people out there are in the same boat I am - inches from financial ruin and in debt to their eyeballs from binge-buying guns for three months straight. :-)
The hearings yesterday may have had someone lighting a fire under the ass of CBI.

If I'm ever at a party and the cops come to arrest people. Ill blindfold myself, throw the ball gag in, handcuff my hands, and hide in a closet. Police never arrest hostages!

Part of my theory is the fewer guns available, but we're still doing a solid amount of 4473s.
I'm just mighty curious if getting the background checks under control is going to be part of their push for the universal checks.
