    I use the computer for everything and my 22" 16:10 LCD is just shy of 1080p at 1680x1050 (24" 1900x1200/1080p was $150 more and not worth it to me). I could definitely enjoy blueray on here, but not till the drive price comes down. DVD is fine for me, especially since I'm only a foot and a half away from the screen.

    Actually, I'll probably wait till BD-R/RW drives are in the $100-150 range, then get one to back up all everything on one disk.

    Like Gman pointed out, though, online stuff is gaining momentum and if Netflix ever gets their player working in Linux (or Wine gets IE and their player working) I might just sign up for the $4.99/mo plan. And of course there's always bittorrent
