    Default It ain't over yet...

We need to remember, these bills for the most part, have to pass at least one other committee before they see the floor of the House, then they have to pass a vote there, then they get moved to committee in the Senate, and so on. We still have a lot of opportunities to fight these ridiculous measures. It is important to stay focused, and concentrate our efforts on the committee members first. As previously mentioned, faxes carry more weight than emails, but if all you can do is email, please do. Every voice counts!

WE ARE NOT DEFEATED! unless we choose to acquiesce. Stay angry!

Your assuming they give a fuck which they don't. You all say that you'll vote them out, but did you vote for them in the first place? We live in a time where politicians can basically tell you to your face to fuck off and there is little that can be done. They will never fear you unless drastic changes were to happen nationwide and I don't ever see it happening. Liberty is dead.

Here is my email to Senator Hodge.

I have been watching the proceedings regarding firearms legislation that has been passed along party lines. It appears that the Democratic Party in the state of Colorado is hell bent on infringing on my 2nd amendment rights as a United States citizen and veteran. Apparently I am was trustworthy enough to train to defend the country but am not now trustworthy enough to use a firearm responsibly as a citizen. They have pushed forward requiring me to go to an FFL to sell my private property to another person. They have decided that 15 rounds is the magic number of rounds that I can have in my firearm. They have decided that Campus Carry is now going to be illegal, despite the fact that there has been no incident since the unconstitutional ban was lifted previously. They have decided that I must now pay a "poll tax" to exercise my right to purchase a firearm. Even though the FBI NICS check is free, someone at CBI has to get there money. Additionally, my tax money that pays for the CBI check is not enough and now I must pay more. Thrown on top of all this is the fact that they killed the Jessica Law for mandatory sentencing for child predators. They keep saying that they must restrict my freedoms to save one child while letting child rapists plea out. I hope that you will use common sense when these bills come before the Senate for a vote. Be assured, if you vote along party lines to arbitrarily deny my right I will participate in any events to either have you recalled or voted out of office.

The ones that either won their seats by small margins and the ones that actually seem to be undecided may be vulnerable to logic and/or fear of unemployment. The only way we can influence their decisions is by effectively communicating our stand, and the consequences of awakening the giant. I would rather do as much as I can and fail, rather than do nothing and face a virtual certainty of losing. Giving up is not in my DNA.

I agree. I would add that voting to advance a bill out of the committee does not carry the same weight as voting it into law. I doubt many Democrats have forgotten the results of the 2010 elections and also the aftermath of the 1994 AWB. They also have to be wondering how many on the left will be staying home in 2014 when Obama is not on top of the ballot. I say keep up the pressure until all is said and done and hope that people come to their senses.

Is there an accurate list of reps that won their seat by a slim margin? We may be able to better target the barrage of e-mail/phone calls/faxes.

What would the odds be of adding an amendment to the "Universal Background Check" bill allowing CCW holders to forego a 4473 in a private sale? If that amendment was added it would probably kill the whole damn bill. If it doesn't kill it, it's a way to bypass the whole bullsh*t law.

We have a much better chance in the Senate. The House is stacked against us. Push hard on the senate!

What are the email addresses of the people in the next committees for these bills? (Appropriations, etc.)
