More idiodacy on the part of government. First they tell us that faxes and letters are the only things they really pay attention to and then tell us that there is a difference between 37 pages and 37 pages. And of course the single fax machine is off at night, so 8-5 M-F is all they are willing to tolerate to hear from us.

That in itself is worth a rebellion.

This is my own repost for those following some threads but not others:

went into the CO Legislature page and corrected and cut out the (R)s

    Here you go, (D)s only:

I gave them a short email:
Subject: Vote no on HR 1224/6/8/9

5 sentence short, I hope you will oppose these bills and work on legistation that will keep criminals in jail and work on our mental health care system....blablabla

"how will you vote?" is how I eneded.

I don't think we need waste time with the (R)s other than a nice thank you.

ETA: a few kick backs so I removed them from the above listing

(I'm probably going to get a slap from the Mods but I'm going to dump that email list [it was a pain in the ass to edit] in a few posts here hoping that we'll flood their emails and hopefully it won't ever get to Gov Hick--I think we need 5 to cross the aisle to the pro 2A side)

It is true that the Senate holds more promise, but I plan to keep the pressure on through the entire process! They need to know we are motivated and will dedicate our time, money and resources to defeating every legislator that voted in favor of these bills.

    THANK YOU muddywings

Here is what I wrote (it was hard not to use profanity):

    Dear Representative:

I am writing to strongly urge you to vote NO on any of the ill-conceived gun control bills being debated tomorrow, including HB-1224, HB-1226, HB-1228 and HB-1229.

You do no favors to the citizens of Colorado by voting yes, because these proposed laws, no matter how emotionally well-intentioned, would have the perverse effect of putting Coloradans at risk.

    Votes have consequences.

Should you vote yes, I will enthusiastically organize with other like-minded voters to generously fund the campaign of your next opponent to ensure that your betrayal of the Second Amendment and the citizens of Colorado is paid for with the loss of your seat.
