    Default Laser Range Finder

Laser range finder for long range shooting... 1500 yards at the least.

    So what do you use?

So I'm in the market for one, but I am not willing or planning to spend over $1K for one.

Vectronix Terrapin. Little overkill but repeatedly ranges bushes off hand at 3900 yds.

Step it off. 1 yard per step. That or tie a bunch of para cord together and stretch it out.

Jk though, subscribed for further education.

as I've mentioned on another thread... I have become dependent on the odometer on my vehicle and gps... when I tried shooting out to a mile I had to mil-out my buddy's vehicle to confirm I'm really out at a mile

I'm looking for a LRF for the reason of wanting to participate in a Endurance Challenge someday... and really curious to what you guys are using.

Swarovski. It's ranged out to 1,900+. At roughly $900, it's a decent value. It is heavy, though.

The only laser under 1K worth considering is the Swaro monocular. Pretty much the rule of thumb is that in poor conditions you can range reliably to about 1/2 the advertised range capability . The Swaro is a proven performer out the 1200ish . The Bushnell has a very good laser but the glass is crap and the reticule is too dim in bright light backgrounds .
