Just got it today before heading out to work... this thing feels like a tank. farthest I've ranged so far was a car at 840 something yards.. and it was pretty darn quick to give me the readings. I also noticed while holding the button down and moving from one spot to another that it was still ranging things out... how neat is that? The glass is ridiculously clear. So far I like it... now time to get some new batteries and see how much button pushing will it take

Don't worry... it's registered and it won't cook anything from the inside out

    Air strike.

    auto-barrel-adjustment on my bradley's 25mm......

    that's bout it.

Couldn't imagine taking a shot out to 1500yrds..

I'm planning to use this on the snipershide challenge (If I make it) to help out range targets in seconds.
At the same time... I do a lot of shooting up at Pawnee ranging from 100 out to a mile... yup, a mile... but never hit anything that far.... yet.
I've been using GPS off the phone and the odometer of my vehicle to range things out that far

What makes it fun for me is I'm shooting .308 out that far.

I felt it was a tool I really needed for what I was doing

By all means then mate, cheers.

Think my furthest shoot with a Bolt action rifle was just around 800yrds. I tried to push it further I just cant do it, not repeatibly.

I've hit a target at 1k, but I couldn't do it again, not even gonna pretend I'm captain awesome. 800 is my max.

Thats awesome you're engaging at 1mi.

Who cares if you miss....thats still one hell of an effort. Your hold over pattern must be ridiculous lol, aiming 4ft high :P

At 1,500 yards the drop on my .260 is 72 ft, not 4 ft.

    Crazy I know.

Like what civilian would need a 30 round clip?

If your holding elevation its either a snap shot or your doing something wrong , thats what that knob on the top of the scope is for .

My 338 is good on man size targets to a mile and it sure is nice knowing how far out the target is because that far out the danger space is pretty much zilch .

This isn't about a good effort making a miss it's about hits . Did you get a GO on any task in the military for trying like hell but failing ?

I never said I cared if Civilians had them, I just couldn't understand what on earth you'd be engaging at that distance.

And yea!!! Crazy right!!!....is that like a 30 round magazine?

    >_< Or it's the biggest extended "clip" for an M1 Garand.
