Civilian self defense with more than a 30-round magazine
Does anyone know of any civilian shootings where the civilian shooter used more than a single 30-round magazine to defend themselves or others? Got in an argument with a Fudd this morning and wanted to see what I could find. Also, if you know of any internet sites that might contain details of such, that would be helpful.

I think you'd be hard pressed to find LE shootings that required more than 30 rounds, let alone a civilian one.
Interested to hear if there are any.
Yes, I know of at least one. Gunstore owner who thwarted a nighttime smash and grab with his personally-owned SMG. He let one mag loose as warning shots, iirc, then reloaded and peppered the perp's car and some of the perps. But Fudds will still argue that although more than 30 rounds were used, they weren't "needed". aka, fewer warning shots, and careful semi shot placement.

Do a search for the LA Riots. There was a guy who was posted up on his roof with wife and kids shooting a mob of maybe 55 people coming down his street vandalizing and assault other home owners.
LA riots are your best bet.
I was on a school field trip that day in Berkeley CA. I lived in Fremont CA. We had to pass through a small town called Oakland to get back and for some damm reason the bus driver thought it would be a good idea to take the backroads through Oakland vs 880.
That is when I learned to love the 2A and hate CA.
