i carry every year at the stampede, never had a issue. they do check your bags as you walk in, so i would not use a buttpack. the guys who check work for the stampede, they may give you a hard time.
as for the alcohol booths, you can carry into a bar in this state. as long as you are not drinking you are good to go..

you can only carry in a bar that serves food/ a resturant. carry in a bar is a nogo.

    Greeley doesn't let you?

Didn't think cities could pass stricter laws than the state.
Well, except for Denver of course.

could you please tell me how you came up with this??

i emailed the weld county sheriff about this and asked them if there was a law that would not allow this. i got an email back from a deputy that there is no law that states that you may not carry into a bar, just stated that you could not be under the influence.
i still have a printed copy of the email

greeley pd asked me if i was carrying 6 mths back in a bar. when asked why, he stated it's against CRS something to carry in a place that serves alcohol (only) such as a bar. IF they serve food then its considered a dining place and not restricted. have also been told that by ft collins pd. denver gets a hardon too. granted weld cty may be a little more lax. however i just carry a smaller piece in such places
YMMV. like how 3 cops will give you 4 different interpertations of the same law regarding open carry.

it would be nice if they would all be on the same page and just do the job, not what they feel is the way it should be.
i have only open carried once in public. i got out of my truck at safeway to get gas. the place was packed as always. people all over and no one even noticed or gave a look.
