Denver Mayor to seek new (anti) gun laws

"I am concerned and angered by the separate acts of violence," said Hickenlooper at Monday's news conference. "We can all agree that this is not the Denver that we know."

He appeared alongside Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey and Chief Whitman and said he wants to look at new laws that will crackdown on gun violence in Denver.

"We're going to pursue any measure we can," said Hickenlooper. "Nobody wins when guns and violence are the answer."

Morrissey indicated they would continue to look at options for Denver gun laws, but much of it could be superseded by state laws.
