thats incredible.... I totally understand the "green movement" to an effect, but having a director of greening? thats a little to much if you ask me. I have no problem with doing things to help the environment, and love the mountains around me and want to see them be as beautiful for years to come, but dont you think they should be trying to spend a little more time/money making sure other measures are taken care of such as security?

Yes the chick that was hired is hot, but obviously not too bright. Pepsi owns the rights "to pour" at the convention. the thing is they want no plastic bottles. But they want water. Gee doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out those 2 ideas won't work together. And the dems have decided to use a corn based biodegradable cup. See it's ok to pour the drinks from a bottle into the cups before any pictures are taken of them using bottles.

These cups are degradable IF they sit on top of the landfill, in the sun for 6 weeks. If not they are just like every other kind of disposable cup. Is that hot little greenie going to sit at the landfill for 6 weeks making sure the sun hits all those cups? Nope. they will end up buried and sitting there for decades. But at least the convention can say, yep we did all we could to be green.

It does help though if you quit using common sense, and are willing to spend extra money to offset your lavish waste. It works for Al Gore, it should work for the Democratic Convention.

we should hire some people to monitor these "greenies" outside of the convention activities.... I'd wager that they're pretty care-free outside close public scrutiny!
