I have an uncle who has always been a brain dead liberal. Former hippie that went into journalism (was anchor of his local TV station's news in Oklahoma in the 80s, went on to be an aid to some leftard congress critter from OK soon after, eventually became a college level debate coach at Emporia St University in KS. Now he's got some sort of private sector job working for some government contractor doing God knows what).

Do they make as much or more then you do? Are they as

    Successful as you are?

More money, yes. More success? That's a bit subjective so I dunno.

What did they go to college for?
Has degree in Journalism and forensics (debate, not CSI)

How much debt do they have?
    Don't know.

Do they use the money wisely?
Don't know for sure. He makes more money than I and lives in an area of the country much cheaper then where I live (Ottawa Ks) but doesn't seem to have a whole lot (which either means he's frugal or he wastes a lot of money ... dunno which)

Do they want to raise taxes others but not want to pay said taxes?
Not sure how he pays taxes, not sure if he uses tax shelters of any kind, but definitely thinks "the rich" aren't paying "their fair share".

How do they act? Happy? Or filled with spit and bitterness?
He's very happy-go-lucky ... blissful in his ignorance.

What do they do for a living?
I outlined that above. Currently has some sort of white collar job working for a non-military government contractor (not sure exactly what he does or what they do).

Do they think of themselves as victims?

Personally, no. But everyone else is a victim of the evils of greedy white Republicans.

Do they still blame Bush for the economy?

Mostly. What he doesn't blame on Bush he blames on Reagan.

How do they view you and everyone else who does not share their twisted view of the world?

He thinks the rest of us are brainwashed idiots and paranoid because we don't share his love of all things Government.

    What made them liberal?
Coming of age in the late 60s ... he's always been fat and ugly but he was able to nail hippy chicks because he looks kinda like Jerry Garcia.

I would really like to know...seen a lot of families that have a few libtard in them (great genes must skip some kids) they are away less than successful then non-libtards...
Compared to his brother and sister (my father and aunt. he's the youngest, my father the oldest and my aunt in the middle) he's not as successful as my aunt who frankly married well (her husband used to own the a country radio station in Topeka and they're pretty socially and politically connected there). My father is a Viet Nam veteran who has always held decent jobs but never achieved great success (but no great failures either).

Side note, My father raised two staunch conservatives. My aunt raised one somewhat conservative former Navy medic turned nurse and the liberal uncle has raised two kids (well, his ex wife raised them in Texas) and both of them are liberals. One an extremely obnoxious, angry, unpleasant OWS type (who's probably gay) and the other, a doughy housewife that is really probably only liberal because her parents were and is mostly apolitical (my cousin is a nice enough girl ... not incredibly bright though).

Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

"Everything the State says is a lie, and everything it has it has stolen.
    -Friedrich Nietzsche

"Every time something really bad happens, people cry out for safety, and the government answers by taking rights away from good people."
    -Penn Jillette
