    Default Outlaw?

Ok, I really miss shooting with you guys. Work and new committments with the Army Reserve have prevented me from coming out this year...same ol' story. I get a few months where I can shoot, then over a year where I can't.

Anyway, as you'll recall on the rare occasions I do get to shoot with you, I shoot SSP with my police-issue gun and leather. Recently, however, I made the switch to our new gun, the S&W M&P (still in 9mm though...the brass loves that round for some unexplainable reason). Our new holster accomodates a flash light to remain attached to the gun at all times -- no need to put it on and take it off every time you slap leather. Great improvement for a guy who works the midnight shift.

My problem is this: The holster *requires* the flash light to remain attached. You cannot take it off or else the holster won't hold the gun. If I remember correctly, IDPA rules do NOT allow a shooter to shoot with the light attached.

Can I leave it attached and shoot "outlaw?" I'm all about shooting with my actual gear if possible...winning trophies be darned.

Leave it attached and come out to shoot. You are always welcome to shoot with your duty gear.
