Apparently they're really good guards too... No US VP has ever been assassinated. That could be because not one VP has ever been the target, unlike Lincoln, JFK, and Reagan. Thus proving that if you fall under the protection of armed, trained, professionals you can't make any decisions about how the common person can protect themselves and their loved ones.

I've come to the conclusion that Biden's role in the Administration is to say what Obama WANTS to say but can't so his media cohorts can just chuckle and say, "well, of course, that's just Joe" while Obama silently puts out equally ridiculous crap that doesn't look as shocking after Joe's "gaffes".
