Default you guys know everything... who repairs the seal on a double pane window?

After the home inspection of my house, one of things that came up was a window that had a broken seal (cloudy between the glass) and they want it fixed

Who would fix this? what type of place? and do you recommend someone

oh, windows are vinyl, single hung, double pane and about 8 years old of unknown maker (and how do I find out what brand window?)

    thanks

Look inside between the panes of glass. Upper corner, either side should list mfg model etc. MOST thermo windows have at least a 10 yr warranty, labor not included. Once you find who made / mfg them look em up and call their CS number.

Might just replace the whole window?

I'm trying to avoid this...I can't figure out who made the window and it's the front of the house next to another window. It's the bottom part of a single pane, wonder if someone could replace just the bottom?

I have the warranty stickers in the frame of the window, and 1 window in the whole house has what looks like a logo that is stamped on the glass in white ink, but I can't tell who it is, it's too smudged...fml

Typically the glass has to be ordered and custom made to fit that exact window. Typically on a tract home, it is going to be of some standard size so that might expedite the process, but not sure on that one. A company will have to come out and do a reglaze on that pane, which involves removing the old piece and putting the new one in. Not a hard task for any good window tech. Call Front Range Window and Door in Littleton and see if they can help you or at least direct you in the right place to get it taken care of.

This guy has done fantastic work for many of my customers, sister, and brother.

Tell him Andy Zarlengo at Budget Blinds sent you. I met him at my sisters house about 6 months ago and was very impresed with his price and his work. I have had him do many of my customer's windows and they too have been impressed.

I got a better look at the glass today in some daylight...it looks like the logo says
    Glass inc.
    tempered glass
and then some numbers that I can't read

so now to check to see who glass inc is....and see if they have a warranty
