Default Magpul more vocal than NRA in CO?

Maybe I missed them while the 4 bills were going through the house, but it seemed like MAGPUL was way more vocal and actively FIGHTING against 1224. Anyone notice this? Am I wrong? The NRA just seemed awfully quiet from my perspective.

Comments? Anyone see the NRA in action and help fight for our gun rights?

The only thing that I have seen them do is send Keene to speak with Hickenlooper on the 8th of this month... that has been it. They haven't responded to emails pointing out there lack of support here in the "Test State" of Colorado

I got an email from the ILA but we are already doing this...:

Colorado: House Passes Most Sweeping Anti-Gun Legislation in Recent History

In the face of tens of thousands of gun owners, sportsmen and shooting enthusiasts, anti-gun zealots leading the rights-infringing charge in Denver passed a package of anti-gun bills in the state House seeking to undermine the Second Amendment in Colorado.

House passage of the bills below should be a wake-up call to everyone across this diverse and freedom-loving state. Your rights are under an all-out assault by those who see you and your way of life as a problem that needs to be fixed.

House Bill 1224 – Bans magazines with a capacity greater than fifteen rounds. (Passed 34-31)

House Bill 1226 – Repeals current law allowing individuals with a concealed carry permit to carry a firearm for self-defense on a college or university campus. (Passed 34-31)

House Bill 1228 – Imposes a “gun tax” for a background check when purchasing a firearm. (Passed 33-32)

House Bill 1229 – Criminalizes the private transfer of a firearm. (Passed 36-29)

The votes taken today by those House members in favor of these bills will put hundreds out of work in Colorado, eliminate hundreds of millions of dollars in economic activity that will go to other states and make criminals out of unsuspecting law-abiding citizens.

Our fight is far from over, as this extreme anti-gun legislation still has to pass in the state Senate and then go to Governor Hickenlooper for his signature.

WE NEED YOUR HELP TODAY! Call your state Senator and Governor John Hickenlooper TODAY and respectfully urge them to oppose the anti-gun bills above. Hold your state Senator accountable and ask him or her how they will vote on these bills.

Contact information for your state Senator can be found here. Contact information for Governor John Hickenlooper by email can be found here and by phone at (303) 866-2471 or 303-866-2885.

Please stay tuned to www.nraila.org for further updates and information.

I received some postcards about the bill and to contact my house rep, but that was after the vote. Might have been because I rarely check my mailbox though.

I've gotten a couple postcards and 1/2 dozen emails from the NRA about the CO bills. I don't think it would be resonable for te to call members. It would have be great if they could have ran radio/tv ads, but I've heard most media won't run NRA ads.

Been receiving numerous e-m's from the ILA section of the NRA.
Magpul has a very vested interest in these, not to say the NRA doesn't. However a signing by the gov basically outlaws a LEGAL business. I watched it happen in Jan, in NY, tuesday a wall of guns, wed morn a Closed for Business Sign on the door.

You see Dudley place a full page ad in any paper? he's local.

Once again the AG's tactic of how they won the CO election, is in play for Gun control, death by a 1000 local laws. The NRA has a lot of irons in the fire, do they drop the national Fight and devote to every state, or keep up at the federal level?

Once Hick signs all the GC bills O will tout how a CCW friendly state was responsible enough to pass Sensible Gun laws that did not infringe on the 2nd.
"Now we the people must act nationally to do what Colorado and other states have done locally to prevent another Newtown, Aurora, Columbine". Just wait, if not word for word, i'll be damned if i am not this > <close on what he says.
