Do you have a case gauge?

I've got one of these and it's a quick check for good or bad sized brass:

Throw a micrometer across the neck of a loaded round, especially one that jams. Maybe you need to turn the neck down, although I don't recall that being a common problem for necked-up brass.

See if a resized case will chamber.

See if a unsized case will chamber.

Then measure the neck OD of the unsized case after it come out. Compare it to a loaded round. You need a little clearance.

Be sure you you are fully sizing the case.

Like Sean said, get a case gauge. Best bet is to get one from Wilson.

I will be down at Dillon in a month and I will check.

I did about a bizzilion pcs of 300 Whisper/Blackout brass for Bill Wilson in 2011 so I doubt it is the chamber. Like you, I guess dies.

Dont forget to make the press cam over when the press bottoms out. Sometiems that is all it takes.

I have the same Hornaday dies and no problem. But very stupid question Danimal. Have you tried a different magazine. I had a few .223 mags that were surplus, and same thing happened to me, weak spring and the last round or two wouldn't feed.

I have had Hornady dies wear out, and no, not after 20 years of loading.
My Lee dies work perfectly fine now that I figured out I needed more chamfer, you are welcome to borrow them and run a few rounds to help determine your issue and load up whatever you need. I wont be loading 300 for a couple/three weeks, so not a big deal at all to me.

    ETA:
My dies are at my shop at 73rd and Washington north of denver, so probably not terribly far out of your way. I am leaving tomorrow evening out of town, will be back on Monday. No issue for you to get the dies, even if I am not in town.
