    Thanks for the input guys, I'm thinking a black lmf II from amazon for only $65 will be suffice.

    Mine sits out but I prefer the Buck TOPS Fixed CSAR-T Knife . Both use 420HC steel and the Buck is 2 oz lighter with a better sheath IMO. The original LMF used 12C27 steel and the edge was better.

    ive got one. honestly in terms of all of the knives ive had it feels the most balanced and nice to hold. no idea about longevity and toughness though. time will tell.
