That's exactly what my wife (aka: Nurse Ratched) said.

My Uncle slipped on the ice a few years back and broke his leg. He was in his 60s then. I gave him a ration of shit and told him he was lucky it wasnt his hip because I would NEVER have let up over that one.


This year (now in his 70s and still a ski instructor) he was skiing and they were blowing snow on the hill. He went through the snow and then wrecked, bad. Yard sale bad. He got up, skied down the hill. The snow patrol wanted him to take an ambulance to the hospital and he declined. He walked to his car, loaded up and drove his stick shift 1 and a half hours to Bethesda Naval Hospital. They admitted him immediately Three broken ribs and a partially collapsed lung. Spent four days there.

Thank god you are okay. I had those same injuries from one hit in football a few years ago. The worst is the concussion, those are bad news. Everything else will heal okay but that brain will never be the same.
